YOGA
Yoga is a process of understanding the necessities of life, exerting management control of the mind, and excelling in human potential.
Yoga is not a philosophy, nor a dogma or a religion; is a practical approach to everyday life, whereby one's awareness and perspective may evolve and be enhanced.
The practice of asanas (physical postures) help, in the management of the body, providing physical balance and harmony.
The practice of pranayamas (breathing techniques) counter-balance the external physical forces and energy, thus giving one the opportunity to deal with the state of the mind.
The practices of relaxation and concentration produce calmness and relax all levels of one's existence and penetrate into the depths and dimensions of the characteristics of one's personality.
The practices of meditation give us the ability to use the unmanifest human potential and helps us to confront and cope with fears and conflicts , which are hiding deep into the the mind. .When this is attained a beautiful transformation in life takes place.
Asanas and Pranayamas are practices of Yoga,which achieve physical balance and good health , easing the body pain and alleviating the emotional tensions .
The stress ,we all are facing in everyday life, creates a lot of physical and mental imbalances which need to be taken care of immediately thus avoiding further problems, since imbalances in the body lead to illnesses and diseases and imbalances in the mind create mental conflicts,anxiety and depression.

SATYANANDA YOGA
Satyananda Yoga is an integral, complete system of Yoga, which aspires for the development and balance of all levels of human existence, through the enhancement of one's inner awareness.
It incorporates the following branches of Yoga: Hatha, Raja, Bhakti, Jnana and Kundalini Yoga, which have their roots in the ancient traditions and philosophies of Samkya, Vedanta and Sannyasa.
Satyananda Yoga is based on the teachings of Paramahamsa Satyananda Saraswati, a great living master of Yoga.
He has dedicated his life to the teachings and development of Yoga, introducing and implementing the ancient teachings of Yoga into the western world. Paramahamsa Satyananda is the founder of the Bihar School of Yoga and inspirer of the Bihar Yoga Bharati, the first Yoga University, founded in 1988 - together with his successor, Paramahamsa Niranjanananda Saraswati. These two great masters of Yoga serve humanity and help many, throughout the world to improve their lives on all levels.
In 1977, Swami Sivamurti Saraswati, a dedicated disciple of Paramahamsa Satyananda, at his request, introduced the Satyananda system of Yoga to Greece. In 1984, she founded the Satyanandashram, a non-profit organization recognized within Greece and internationally for its high level of training and practice of Satyananda Yoga, as well as for its charitable work to the community.

SWAMI SIVAMURTI SARASWATI

In 1977, Swami Sivamurti Saraswati, a dedicated disciple of Swami Satyananda, at his request, introduced the Satyananda Yoga to Greece. In 1984, she founded the Satyananda Ashram, a non-profit organization recognized within Greece and internationally for its high level of training and practice of Satyananda Yoga, and recognized for its charitable work.
